Nonwoven fabric looms are widely used in the field of clothing, packaging and home decoration. They are used to make various widths, make cloth in different colors, and make them in any pattern. In the clothing field, nonwoven fabric looms are applied to make casual wear, innerwear, shoes and other clothing accessories. In the field of packaging materials, nonwoven fabric looms are used to produce insulation facilities, non-woven fabrics and other packaging materials.
In the production of non-woven fabrics, a wide variety of non-woven fabrics are produced, such as spunbonded non-woven fabric, melt-blown non-woven fabric, composite non-woven fabric, and various non-woven fabrics with special properties. These special properties include gas permeation property, soundproof property, water-proof property, flame-retardancy, anti-bending property, antibacterial property, etc. In the home decoration field, nonwoven fabric looms are used to produce wallpapers, curtains, carpets and other products.
Nonwoven fabric looms can be divided into two types, shuttle looms and rapier looms. Shuttle looms are mainly used to produce simple-patterned fabrics and large-width fabrics. It takes up larger floor space, but it has the advantage of speed and productivity. Rapier looms are mainly used for making complex fabrics, such as jacquard fabrics and woven jacquards. It is more economical and efficient than shuttle looms, but the produced fabrics are narrow.
Nonwoven fabric looms can also be divided into three types according to the working principle, air-laid looms, dry-laid looms and wet-laid looms. Air-laid looms are mainly used to produce large-width, multi-layer non-woven fabrics. Dry-laid looms are mainly used to produce light-weight non-woven fabrics. And wet-laid looms are mainly used to produce wool-like non-woven fabrics and some other highly absorbing non-woven fabrics.
Nonwoven fabric looms have the advantages of low cost, no need of large workshop and other spinning equipment, and can be used to produce various types of non-woven fabrics with different functions. However, the disadvantage of the nonwoven fabric looms is that the nonwoven fabric produced has the drawbacks of poor strength, low abrasion resistance, easy tearing and low dimensional stability. Therefore, in the application of nonwoven fabric looms, the quality of production, especially the strength of non-woven fabrics, should be closely monitored and effectively improved.
